We had to pause referrals mid-January as we were at capacity... we continued to provide consultancy for professionals until we opened up referrals again in April 2026
34 Homelessness advocacy outcomes:
Initial outcomes:
o 32 Homelessness applications progressed; Support provided with Personal Housing Plan to access accommodation – including 15 interim accommodation placements attained for people experiencing or imminently facing street homeless
o 1 Settled accommodation attained - Supported accommodation
o 1 Suitable Temporary Accommodation (pathway to settled)
Long-term outcomes:
o 16 Settled accommodation: 11 Social housing; 3 Private rental sector; 2 Supported accommodation (pathway to settled)
o 5 pending outcomes, continuing support in Y2 26/27
o 4 continued with referring service after our intervention and positive initial outcome
o 3 left interim accommodation & disengaged – 2 have returned to our service; 2 left Norwich; 4 disengaged
6 Move-on advocacy outcomes: 2 Social housing, 1 Private rental sector, 1 internal move-on, 2 pending outcomes (bidding on social housing)

Homelessness training:
27 professionals and lived experience volunteers have attended A Practical Guide to Homelessness Applications - a workshop for anyone who would like to support people experiencing homelessness through the application process at the council.
We are now also offering workshops in Housing Options & Move-on
